Go-To Grub Spots on the North Shore - with Seth & Josh Moniz

Whenever you hit a new destination, it’s always key to get the inside word from the locals on the best places to go. More often than not, food is always at the very top of the list.

If you find yourself making the pilgrimage to Oahu's North Shore, here are a handful of the local’s choice spots according to Josh and Seth Moniz.

Breakfast - Hale’iwa Cafe is a classic locals spot. The staples there would be the omelette or bacon & eggs...can't go wrong with either of those.

Lunch - Pupukea Grill. This is a crowd favorite, especially when it comes to surfers. Everything there is made the right way with no shortcuts. So good. The Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl is generally the go-to here, but everything is good.

Vegetarian - If you’re a vego or looking for a healthy spot, then you should definitely check out the Sunrise Shack or Beet Box in Hale’iwa. Beet Box is a pretty new place, & their breakfast burritos are amazing. Both are good spots for a post-surf lunch too.

Dinner - Lei Lei's. You can't talk about go-to North Shore food spots without mentioning this one. This restaurant at Turtle Bay is where everyone goes to celebrate at the end of the year once the Pipe Masters finishes up. They’re famous for their Baby Back Ribs and their Mai Tai's.

South Shore - If you find yourself in Honolulu, then Doraku Japanese is an epic joint. They’ve got a great selection of Sake and pretty much all of their rolls are amazing. Their Crispy Rice Roll is one of Seth's favorites.
