My most favorite time of the holiday season is our family Thanksgiving… it has actually been a FriendsGiving for the part 30 years…. always a great time and party

How would you describe your everyday style? My everyday work style is comfortable. I have to do a lot of moving/lifting etc so wearing clothes that are easy to move in is key… I save the dresses for the weekend

Favorite places to travel and get your cozy on? My group of friends and I do a mountain trip every year to either Mammoth or Big Bear so I would have to say that is my favorite place to travel and get cozy

If you could give your dog an official office title, what would it be? Cash would be “Director of Being Lazy” He’s just an old guy that doesn’t even want to get out of bed in the morning… we have to physically drag him out every morning haha. AHHH Schooner would totally be “Director of Trouble” he is always in to something, but he’s just so damn cute… it’s hard to get mad at him

If you could give your dog a ‘Most likely to…’ award, what would it be and why? Cash would be ‘Most likely to cuddle’…. Schooner would be ‘Most likely tocause trouble’

MEET NICOLE:

Tell us a little bit about what you do at Billabong? I do graphic design for the Billabong Women’s Marketing team. We work on anything from store windows and signage to concepting ideas for emails, photoshoots, you name it! The best part of the job is seeing your work in real life.

What’s the best part of having our fur friends in the workplace….? Or your very own fur friend? The best part is how stoked he is all the time. I could be having a stressful day or feeling overwhelmed and the minute I see him he puts a smile on my face. He’s my personal reminder to enjoy life, get outside and just be happy! Even when life can seem a bit ruff… (Had to put one dog joke in there)

What’s your favorite Holiday pastime or ritual? My dad is from Germany and we have a super unique Christmas tree lighting ritual. We use REAL candles that are clipped onto the tree branches. We light them at night on Christmas, turn down the lights and watch them glow while my dad plays “O Tannenbaum” (a.k.a Oh Christmas Tree) on his old record player. It sounds crazy but it’s seriously breathtaking when they are all lit. Pure holiday magic.

How would you describe your everyday style?  Casual and beachy with a hint of boho and tomboy. If I can wear a bikini under it and sneakers I will.

Favorite places to travel and get your cozy on?  I’m from New York and I love going home for the Holidays. My parents live Upstate in the country, lots of fields and open space and trees. I am a summer girl at heart, but living out here in Cali, I really do miss the beautiful fall leaves, freshly picked apples and cider!! If you’re ever in Virgil, NY head to Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill. Hands down best Dutch Apple Pie you will ever have. You’re welcome.

If you could give your dog an official office title, what would it be? Benelli – Senior Director of Plate Licking

If you could give your dog a ‘Most likely to…’ award, what would it be and why?

Oh boy… Most likely to sit on the VP of Marketing’s chair mid-meeting.

The day we did the shoot, Benelli and I were in a large meeting with our VP of Marketing. In the middle of it, he climbed right into her chair and sat there with her!! Luckily she is a dog person, but I couldn’t believe it. Haha Poor guy still thinks he’s a lap dog.

MEET ISABELLA

Tell us a little bit about what you do at Billabong? I intern for Allison, women's Creative Director, as a fashion concept intern. With Allison I help build and create new collections. I usually will pull tears for story boards and color palettes. From the tears I will assist her with putting mood boards together in illustrator. I also help her style for photo shoots and help her with any organization she needs for her projects! I have also gone inspiration shopping with her to vintage and thrift stores. Along with Allison, I assist Textile designers Fran and Acon. I tape together patterns for them or organize pantone colors.  It's all amazing and always a learning experience, no matter how big or small the task is.

What’s the best part of having our fur friends in the workplace….? Animals are stress relievers! They are always so sweet and always remind me to smile :)

What’s your favorite Holiday pastime or ritual? A pumpkin spice candle is a must! Also fall is the beginning of fuzzy socks, Doc Martens, and oversized sweaters from the thrift! I live for that! Sweet potatoes and yams are sooo sweet and yummy starting in Fall and I love sautéing kale with sweet potatoes, cinnamon, and toasted almonds.

How would you describe your everyday style? I would describe it as eclectic! I am a very open person and this is definitely reflected in my style. I totally absorb my environment and reflect it in my daily attire. Traveling through Europe this past summer made me appreciate the beauty of simplicity and effortless beauty. From interning at Billabong, my style has definitely grown in a new bright, patterned direction. I have found a new love for pops of pinks and lavenders, while still grasping my masculinity through chunky boots, natural makeup, and oversized fits.

Favorite places to travel and get your cozy on? I grew up in Northern California so I love going back and road tripping along the Northern California Coast. There is no better feeling than wearing a fleece jacket, fuzzy socks, and getting out of the car and looking out at the immense coastal cliffs at the edge of the foggy, dark, rough sea. Ugh I love that crisp, freezing air ... (once in a while.)
